What is GPS tracking?
A GPS tracking unit is a device that uses
the Global Positioning System to determine the location of a
vehicle, person, or other asset which it is attached and to record
the position at regular intervals. The recorded location data can
be stored within the tracking unit, or it may be transmitted to a
central location data base, or internet-connected computer, using a
cellular (GPRS), radio, or satellite modem embedded in the unit.
This allows the location to be displayed against a map backdrop
either in real-time or when analyzing the track later, using
customized software.
How can it help your
investigation?
The use of the GPS tracking system is an
important resource which allows us gain invaluable information
during mobile surveillance when someone can not be effectively
followed without risk of being spotted. Though GPS is a valuable
tool, it is not a replacement for experience and training. It does
provide our investigators with detailed location histories. This
history allows an investigator to view the activities that occurred
while the GPS unit was in place. It can be used to plan an
investigative strategy or to help you keep track of your children,
spouse or employee.
Effective Uses For the GPS
Unit:
Teen Driving Activity
Parents want to believe that their
teenagers are being honest about where and how they are driving.
The fact is most parents are concerned for their child's safety.
Statistics prove that motor vehicle related accidents are the
leading cause of teenage deaths. Teenagers are four times as likely
as older drivers to be involved in a crash and three times as
likely to die in one, according to the Insurance Institute
for Highway Safety. If you worry that this is an invasion of
privacy into your teenager's life, you should not be worried. It is
a parent's responsibility to do all that they can do to safeguard
their child, and the GPS Tracker is just one more tool to aid
parents in keeping their kids safe.
With a GPS data logger the device is
placed on the car and will record locations as the car drives
around. The device can be retrieved at a later time and connected
to a computer to read the data. Data will show locations, times and
speeds traveled while in place on the vehicle.
The advantage of a data logger is that you get a very detailed
report at a low cost with no monthly fees. GPS
tracking for teen activity can be done on a weekly rate or for a
longer period of time, this depends on the client's preferences.
For most parents a week's worth of data can establish patterns and
locations in a teenager's routine. Click Here to see the Pricing Page for details on rates

Cheating Spouse
If you suspect that your husband or wife is
having an affair, a GPS tracking device placed on their vehicle can
help you determine if they lying about their daily activities. Data
can be obtained that will show dates, times and locations. After
placing the device on the vehicle, no other surveillance is
necessary until the data is collected from the unit. Normally a
detailed surveillance investigation could cost in the hundreds or
thousands of dollars due to the time and expense involved. A GPS
device can be a cost saving measure in assisting in catching a
cheater. The cost of hourly surveillance adds up quickly, a GPS
device can be placed and left for a much longer time at the same
cost. If suspicious activity is detected, then an on going
surveillance investigation may be in order. At this time, you can
make the decision to continue with the investigation based on your
needs.
GPS
tracking can be used in addition to a surveillance type
investigation. At the time it would be impractical for an
investigator to do surveillance (i.e. when the subject is at work
for eight hours), but activity might be present, the GPS unit is a
very sensible alternative. Click Here to see the Pricing Page for details on rates

Employee Tracking
Are you a business owner wondering how your
employees are using your company vehicle? If your employee is using
your time to attend to personal errands, abusing the company
vehicle or maybe staying somewhere for a longer amount of time than
allotted; a GPS tracker may be the solution. Maybe the car is a
take home vehicle that is supposed to be used only to go to and
from work - are they using it at times not permitted, i.e.
weekends, holidays. Every time your employee abuses your vehicle or
your time for that matter, it cost your business money.
With a GPS data logger the device is
placed on the car and will record locations as the car drives
around. The device can be retrieved at a later time and connected
to a computer to read the data. Data will show locations, times and
speeds traveled while in place on the vehicle. This can help you
determine if an employee actually doing what they are supposed to
be doing or if they are wasting your money.
The advantage of a data logger is that you get a very detailed
report at a low cost with no monthly fees. GPS
tracking can be used in addition to a surveillance type
investigation. If you obtain data that reflects unauthorized use of
a company vehicle, you could then choose to have a surveillance
investigation conducted on the employee to gather additional
evidence. Click Here to see
the Pricing Page for details on rates for GPS Tracking and other
service pricing information.
